Trail's End ®, working with Scout Councils and with the organization Support Our Troops ®, initiated a new program for the fall sale. Consumers will be able to make a purchase of popcorn for donation to military personnel, using a standard order form. The form includes a section that gives consumers the option of buying popcorn for the troops. They may also order popcorn for themselves in the normal manner. All purchases provide a return to Scouting for program funding. Capt. Robert Holley, master of ammunition ship USNS Flint, checks the popcorn inventory on board.    Support Our Troops handled the distribution of more than 2,500 cases of popcorn to the ammunition ship USNS Flint in August, as part of Operation Popcorn.

All three parties play a role in getting popcorn to the troops: the Councils and their Scouts sell the popcorn, Support Our Troops distributes the popcorn, and of course Trail' s End produces the popcorn.
