The Council-wide Popcorn Sale represents a money-earning opportunity that benefits the Scout, the unit, and the Baltimore Area Council alike. The Baltimore Area Council served over 41,000 youth and adult members during 2017. Over 31,000 Scouts and adults used the properties and facilities of Broad Creek Scout Reservation for summer camps, weekend activities, outings, and training events last year. Revenue generated through the annual popcorn sale helps to fund these programs, experiences, and adventures for Scouts and Scouters. The development of these Scouting programs has a direct impact on the communities in Central Maryland.
