The Ventura County Council, Boy Scouts of America is focused on providing high quality Cub Scout programs to boys and girls ages 5 to 10 years and Boy Scouts to boys 11 to 18 years (girls too in Fall 2019!), along with Venturing and Exploring units to young men and women (since 1969) from ages 14 to 21 years. * Over 8,000 Scouters were served with quality character based programs. * Over 100,000 hours of community service were rendered by our youth. * Program delivery was facilitated through nearly 130 community based partnerships. * 142 Scouts earned the Eagle Scout Rank and 142 community projects were completed. * Two camping facilities, a Scout Service Center and the Scout Store were maintained in service to our youth and their families. * Explorer Law Enforcement Academy, 60 Scouting Explorers Graduated from five Ventura County Sheriff Departments. * Scouts collected over 125,000 food items last winter for Scouting for Food to help fill the community food banks! * Scouts throughout the County of Ventura volunteered and helped victims of the Thomas Fire in December 2017.
